Having grown up in Dallas it’s always been a city a loved and always been “home”. After living elsewhere for the 20 years it was so good to “come home again”.
North Dallas Newcomers & Friends has given me an opportunity to meet so many interesting and delightful ladies. We have shared many tales of our yesterdays and experienced great times as we explore Dallas and the surrounding areas.
What a wonderful opportunity to have such great friendships.

When I moved to Plano a year ago, I was anxious to join North Dallas Newcomers Club. I have made new friends, while having fun playing bridge, bunco, going to movies, out to eat and enjoying book club. There are so many activities. I also look forward to the monthly luncheons. I have been a member of North Dallas Newcomers for many years, but the first Newcomers club I joined was in Irvine, California. This is my 8th move in 25 years and my first time in Texas. I was not familiar with the area and did not have any family or friends nearby so I was looking to get involved with a friendly and active group. The members of North Dallas Newcomers have always made me feel welcome and greeted me with smiles. I have met some wonderful ladies and made some special friendships thru this group. Each month there are so many interesting and fun activities to choose from. The North Dallas Newcomers group has truly been a blessing in my life. I joined North Dallas Newcomers about 3 years ago and have truly enjoyed it! I am familiar with Newcomer clubs from other cities I have lived in and it is the only way to meet great people when one moves to a new city. Especially if you are an empty nester like myself!! There are so many activites in this group that I could be doing some fun activity every day! It is also a great way to get to know your community with the outings we enjoy. I have joined the Board last year as Treasurer and this is yet another strong bond with being a part of running a great organization such as ours. I recommend joining Our Newcomers group to meet new people just like yourself and eating great food at our luncheons and hearing wonderful programs. — Sue Daley, Addison
I joined North Dallas Newcomers three years ago after moving to Frisco. I have really enjoyed the women I have met in the club and all the activities. I’m currently in the book club, the casual bridge group, the wine group, moving and groovin’ , and the movie group. If you don’t find a group that really appeals to you, just start one!!! I spent three rather lonely years in Dallas before I met an English girl in a store parking lot who invited me to a North Dallas Newcomers new member Coffee. I went along and loved the group. I asked if they had a Garden Group and they said, “No but you could start one”, so I did. Now I’ve served on the Board twice and I not only made some great mates, but feel like I’m fulfilling a useful and necessary role. My favorite activities are the Singing Group (Mary Notes), monthly Luncheons and New Member Coffees. — Judith Rinehart, North Dallas
Two years ago, I moved to Frisco, joined LA fitness and brought along three of my water aerobic friends to the North Dallas Newcomers Coffee Morning. We felt so welcome and were excited to join every activity available! The activities, luncheons, coffees and socials have all met my expectations. I wanted to become more involved so last year, I served on the Board and participated in our annual fundraising auction committee. . . another exciting event!
